LEGO Ideas Typewriter Revealed
The biggest story in the world of LEGO this week would probably be the reveal of the LEGO Typewriter set. This is the 35th set in the LEGO Ideas theme and comes from this submission from Steve Guinness. The set will retail for €199.99 with 2,079 pieces from July 1st.
LEGO have made substantial changes to the original model, most notably being the complete colour overhaul. The ideas submission was completely brick built and consisted mostly of dark grey pieces. The official model consists of mainly sand green pieces and uses tires and even a ribbon piece.
LEGO Adidas Superstar Set Teased
On Sunday, LEGO posted this image teasing an upcoming buildable LEGO Adidas Sneaker set. The tweet simply says “Kicks, meet bricks. Dropping 1.07.21”.
The set is a continuation of LEGO’s ongoing partnership with Adidas which last year produced a LEGO-branded clothing line. It will be interesting to see what this set ends up looking like.
Life-Size Lamborghini Sián
In what was a potentially delayed promotional move, LEGO this week showed off their life-size LEGO Lamborghini Sián. They’ve done this before with the previous large-scale technic car, the Bugatti Chiron.
The car is made from over 400,000 pieces and took 15 people about 8,660 hours to create. Credit to
This week only a single set has surpassed the 10,000 supporter mark on LEGO Ideas. In a surprise to few, this one is also Medieval-era themed. The submission is called “Medieval Harbor” and was submitted by user Namirob.
The build is, in my opinion, extremely beautiful and would match the Medival Blacksmith set so well. The roof looks to use the same build technique as the Blacksmith, and in general there seems to be lots of shared colours between them.
I highly doubt they will release another medieval-style build in the Ideas theme anytime soon. However, for each submission that achieves support hopefully LEGO will recognize the demand for a medieval theme and just make one already.
