"The Friends Apartments" Set Revealed
The second LEGO F.R.I.E.N.D.S set has been revealed. Following the success of the Ideas Central Perk set in 2019, LEGO have now revealed “The Friends Apartments”. The set will feature both Joey/Chandler’s apartment, Monica’s apartment, and the connecting hallway between them. It will retail for €149.99 with 2,048 pieces and 7 minifigures.
The minifigures include the same crew as the first, with Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Pheobe. However, all of the figures are in new outfits, and instead of Gunther we get Janice in a leather print shirt. The set also continues the novelty of it being a TV studio set instead of representing the actual apartments.
Marvel Summer Wave Official Images Revealed
Amazon have accidentally shared official images for the next wave of LEGO Marvel sets.
The highlights of this wave to me would be the Infinity Gauntlet, Endgame Final Battle, and The Guardian’s Ship sets.
The most interesting one to me would be the Guardians’ Ship set. It’s essentially a “UCS Benatar” with 1,901 pieces and 6 minifigures. It should retail for €149.99. My one complaint is that they have included a Chitauri figure instead of Drax…
The Infinity Gauntlet is built in the same style as the Helmet Collection sets, in the sense that they share a stand design. It will have 590 pieces and retail for €69.99.
The Avengers: Endgame Final Battle set is a regular playset with 527 pieces and 8 minifigures. Among those figures, one is a new Thanos bigfig, and another is a microfigure Antman. The set should retail for €89.99.
LEGO Daily Bugle Set Teased
LEGO posted a teaser on their Facebook page possibly alluding to a Daily Bugle set coming in the near future. It was posted under the tagline “Have you seen today’s newspaper from the Daily Bugle? . Which story are you most excited about?”.
This teaser comes a few days after some leaked images of a modular Daily Bugle set surfaced. The rumour is that it will have 3.7k+ pieces and 25 minifigures, retailing for €299.99.
LEGO Ideas
Two new submissions have achieved 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas this week. These are “BTS ‘Dynamite'” by JBBrickFanatic and “The Costume Store” by Bricky_Brick.
Rankings Update
A small adjustment in the rankings this week. When evaluating where the Batwing should rank, I have adjusted the position of the Statue of Liberty Architecture set. It has been knocked out of the Top 10. Full changes below.
